Scrapbook Video Tutorial 11-13-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

In this week's video learn how to make your own custom chocolate embellishment.  When I showed my custom chocolate creation to my husband he had to reach over and touch it to make sure that it was not real. Check out the close up below.

Today's layout features designer paper: K&Company - Cut N' Paste collection; American Crafts - Book Shelf collection, Kraft Cardstock and Bling: BasicGrey.

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 10-23-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

Hello Kitty has always been an inspiration to me. I introduced her to my baby sister and even though my daughter is only 18 months old I have already started surrounding her with Hello Kitty. Today marks the beginning of Hello Kitty's 35th Anniversary celebration. So, I am celebrating by making a Hello Kitty layout. I have given her a pink flower which means cute and because the photos are of my daughter's first birthday she also has green ribbon which signifies wish.

Today's layout features designer paper: Fancy pants - celebrate collection, Gypsy/Cricut Expression(Provo Craft) - Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge; George basic shapes font cartridge, Crystal Stickers, Ranger - Icicle and Diamond Stickles; Glossy Accents.  I hope you enjoy this week's video!

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 10-16-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

Every layout I design is special to me but the layout today is extra special because of the photograph. The photograph is of my daughter Hailey several months ago. I can't help but smile and stare at it. The essence captured is so pure and genuine. Looking at it just brightens up my day. I will be keeping this one on my display wall for a long time.

Today's layout features designer paper: BasicGrey - Sultry collection, Infuse collection; Porcelain collection, Gypsy & Cricut Expression(Provo Craft) - Gypsy font cartridge; Keystone font cartridge, Crystal Stickers - Pearls, Close to My Heart - Waxy Flax; Brads, Embossing Powder: American Crafts Zing - blush, Creative Imaginations - Flower brad.

This week's tutorial also shows how to use the gypsy to cut your design. Enjoy!

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 10-9-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

I love scrapbooking but I can get pretty messy. So, I decided to do some organizing and tidy up my craft area. In the process I came across some photographs I had never seen before. They were of my husband and our son 6 years ago. I was so excited. It brought back so many great memories. I just had to scrapbook them. My husband was so surprised when I showed him the layout.

Today's layout features designer paper: Bo Bunny - Grease Monkey Thread collection; Basic Grey - Mellow collection; Periphery collection. Cardstock: Close to My Heart - Black. Tim Holtz - Word Stick (Love) , Gypsy (Provo Craft) - Sans Serif font cartridge; George and Basic Shapes font cartridge, Prima - Crystals, Stamps: Heidi Swapp - Clocks; Technique Tuesday - Ali Edwards Favorite Memories, Embossing Powder: American Crafts Zing - black and clear.

I know many of you have gotten the Provo Craft Gypsy. In this week's tutorial I'll show you how to group and merge items. Enjoy!

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 9-4-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

I had a lot of journaling on this layout and I wanted it to be as important as the photograph so I kept the layout very simple so the eye would focus on the text.

When I do my tutorials I like to create a layout that anyone, from beginner to advanced scrapbookers, can recreate. My main goal is to provide layout tutorials to help you complete your scrapbooks quicker. If you use this tutorial to complete a layout I would love to see it. Just send me the link of your completed project by leaving a comment.

Today's layout features designer paper from Basic Grey - the Wisteria line, Stampin' Up! cardstock - Lovely Lilac, Hero Arts - Pearls and Martha Stewart Punch. This is the first Martha Stewart border punch that I bought and although I like the design I feel like the Fiskars border punches are easier to use. So, if you are planning on purchasing a Martha Stewart border punch be sure to test it out first, if you can, to see if you like it or not. Enjoy!

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 8-28-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

Today's layout features designer paper from Basic Grey - the Sugared and Urban Prairie line. Yes...I admit it. I am a Basic Grey paper addict. I just can't get enough of it!!! This is a short video. I completed the layout pretty quickly. My son was sick today. I went to the ER around 3 am and I have been taking care of him all day so I am pretty tired. I hope you enjoy this week's video!

I don't know if it's just because I am tired this seems funny to me but... I used the 'Sugared' paper line ... my title is 'Sweet Memories' ... and the photographs used are of me making gingerbread cookies which are a sweet treat.

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 8-24-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

I was having major technical difficulties with my video and editing software. Thanks to my husband, everything is running smoothly now and I am even more excited to bring you these video tutorials. This week's layout is a Halloween layout. Why another Halloween layout you ask? Well one of my YouTube subscribers asked to see a Halloween layout and since the video I did was destroyed I did another Halloween layout.

The layout in today's video is similar to the layout I posted on 8-14-09. I really liked how it turned out so I moved things around to make it different and kept the elements I liked.

This layout features designer paper: Basic Grey - the Marrakech line. I like to be different so this layout is far from traditional. The video and the photograph do not show how pretty this page is in person. In real life you can see the glitter and the edge of the designer paper looks so much cooler. In the video I could not remember the name of the punch I used. It is the icicle border edger punch from EK Success.

Hello Scrapbookers!

It's time again for another Scrapbook Video Tutorial. This week's layout is a 12x12 layout with two 4x6 photos. This is one layout of many that I will be making for my baby sister's wedding album. The designer paper used for this layout is by K&Company - the ancestry.com stack. Enjoy!

Hello Scrapbookers!

Thank you for joining me for another Scrapbook Video Tutorial. This week's layout is a 12x12 layout with one photo. The paper used for this layout is by Basic Grey from the Lime Rickey and Lemonade paper collection. These one photo pages are really challenging for me because I just love scrapbooking 2, 3 or 4 photos. This week's layout was quick. I was able to fit it in one video. Enjoy!

Welcome to another video tutorial! This week's layout was created for my best friend Anne. She gave me some paper and pictures of her beautiful daughter Rachel and I was happy to take on the challenge.

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 7-17-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

Here is this week's layout tutorial. It is a page that is long over due. It is a layout of my son's first Christmas and he is 6 years old. That may bother some people but I like going back and forth so I don't get creatively stuck. It also helps me not to have to work so hard sometimes. I can do a "girly" page for my daughter and then go "back in time" when my son was the same age as my daughter is now and create a boy page using different embellishments and paper.

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 7-8-09

Hello Scrapbookers!

Here is this week's layout tutorial. Beginning this week I will be uploading two videos per scrapbook layout tutorial. YouTube allows 10 minute video uploads and that is just way too little time to complete a layout even after I edit the movie. Also in the past I have received comments that the videos are preferred in real time and with explanations. So in order to do that splitting up the scrapbook layout tutorial is the best option. Enjoy this week's videos. And as always if you have any concerns or suggestions leave me a comment.

Hey Scrapbookers,

In today's video I will show you how to make an easy accordion 6x6 album and for the next 3 days I will be highlighting a 6x6 page sketch and a completed 6x6 layout. As you guys know I love Robyn's (aka thepinkstamper) blog. Well yesterday she gave a color challenge so today's 6x6 layout is designed with the instructions from her color challenge - pink, olive green, dark brown and purple as an accent.

Today's 6x6 sketch

Scrapbook Video Tutorial 6-2-09

Here is this week's scrapbook tutorial. I am highlighting embossing. I did some wet and dry embossing. This week I spoke throughout the video instead of playing music. Please let me know which you prefer. I did have some issues with the camera so there is a clicking sound at certain parts of the video. So sorry about that. Please leave a comment.

Thanks for visiting today! I will be adding a new video every Friday so look out for future videos. Please subscribe or follow my blog.
